Atlantic Quest 2003

The 2003 YMALQ was held near Winchester, VA on a hot summer weekend and focused on a Native American legend. The young men searched for and earned tokens that would help bring a people together and return peace to the valley. Young men practiced responsibility, intuition, courage, humor, creating and teamwork in meeting the challenges presented to them.

The program staff learned that you can never underestimate the ability of groups of motivated young men to run with 16 foot logs through underbrush and up and down hills.

The culmination of the quest was the construction of a totem bearing the words "We are one" and the triumphant return of the chief. The young men selected a young man fighting cancer to top off the totem.
